Instructions for use
Engraved knives are intended for display.
*Intended Use
We recommend that you display engraved knives for decorative purposes rather than using them. Of course, they have sharp blades and offer exceptional cutting performance.
However, the intricately engraved areas are difficult to clean thoroughly, so we do not recommend using them for hygienic reasons.
*Care Instructions
Moisture is the enemy of the steel used in these knives. If moisture remains, rust will form.
Please wipe away all moisture, such as water droplets, thoroughly with a dry towel or cloth.
To prevent rust, it is also effective to apply knife-specific maintenance oil or a vegetable oil such as salad oil.
*Color Plating Options
While the work list features color-plated designs, you may also order “No Color Plating (Engraving Only).” With the “No Color Plating” option, the engraved areas retain the knife’s base metal color (silver), highlighting the metal’s natural luster and offering a distinct beauty of its own.
*About Color Plating
We use a 24K gold plating solution for gold plating.
For other colors, we use black nickel, nickel, copper, and silver.
The color within the engraved areas is created through a plating process that deposits a thin layer of metal onto the surface. Excessive rubbing or abrasive cleaning may gradually reduce the color over time.
